The Office of Graduate Studies and Research is seeking a self-starting, punctual, dependable student assistant to help with routine office tasks, such as handling incoming and outgoing mail, printing and mailing letters, photocopying, filing, scanning, updating various tracking spreadsheets, and assisting with general inquiries.  Experience in the Microsoft Office suite is essential, especially Word and Excel.  Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Designer is preferred.  General knowledge of office machines, such as copiers and scanners, is also necessary.  Other tasks may be assigned as needed.  The student assistant will work directly with the Interim Associate Dean.  Candidates must be SJSU students and demonstrate efficiency, a high attention to detail, reasonably good writing skills, and the ability to prioritize and adapt to changes in work flow.
