 Grant Development Intensive

As part of the continuum of efforts to support the Teacher-Scholar at SJSU, we invite applications for this program. Each cycle, a small number of individuals or teams will be selected to be Grant Development Fellows. They will commit to two days' immersion into the discussion, design and development of a working draft of a specific grant application to be submitted for extramural funding. Throughout, campus-internal and –external experts will work closely with participants. Fellows will be expected to "give back" to the campus community by serving as resources to the broader campus community, by, for example, serving as an internal peer reviewer for grant proposals being developed by other SJSU faculty.

Third Annual Grant Writing Seminar

This seminar is for small faculty groups to meet, usually every other week, to develop and write grants.  Lead by Dr. Jerry Flanzer, attendees are provided methodology and statistical consultation, budget and pre-award technical assistance, as well as dialogue with funding sources and their program officers.  Faculty must have a research concept to join the group, be open to feedback and have the intent to submit a grant to a funding source within 12 months.  Seminars are held on two different days of the week and at different times to accommodate the group.  Contact Dr. Jerry Flanzer if you are interested in participating in this seminar.
