Further training for grant submissions.
“Responsible Conduct of Research” training is required for NSF proposals. It is also through the CITI website (http://www.citiprogram.org/Default.asp?). Information regarding this requirement can be found under Investigator Training and Policy Information under The Human Subjects Institutional Review Board section of this website.
A new requirement went into effect August 2012 requiring that investigators complete a mandatory Financial Conflict of Interest training before engaging in research funded by PHS. The training is done on-line and takes about 30 minutes. SJSU has engaged CITI for training delivery and it can be found on the CITI website https://www.citiprogram.org/Default.asp. The tutorial highlights the key Federal requirements for which the Investigator, SJSU, and NIH or other PHS-Funded agencies are accountable under the new regulation. This training must be completed before an award can be accepted. See your Program Manager for more details.
