MPH Student Association
The MPH Student Association (MPH-SA) plays an integral role in the imagination, organization, functioning, and evaluation of the MPH program. Students are full and respected partners in visioning and implementing nearly every aspect of our common life. All MPH students are automatically members of the MPH-SA, which is one of the groups registered with the Associated Students for San Jose State University as the Health Science Student Association.
Student leaders work closely with the MPH Program Director to plan the year, decide co-curricular priorities, and establish new initiatives. The leaders are selected through consensus, with plenty of roles for everyone who wants to participate. The leadership coordinates activities throughout the year for the MPH program. They also work closely with the Department Chair and the Health Science Undergraduate Student Association (HS-USA) leadership on department-wide initiatives and activities.
