Lucas School Required Items for MSA Admission Committee Review
1. A duplicate set of all the educational documents transcripts/diplomas, etc. listed on your MySJSU “To Do” list. This will enable the Lucas School to assess your candidacy, guide you through the application process and expedite your admission review. The duplicate set of transcripts need not be official copies.
2. Verification of prerequisite course enrollment and/or completion if it is not already indicated on your educational documents.
3. Statement of Purpose – Please state your purpose for applying to the Master of Science in Accountancy program. Include your plans for future occupation or profession, and any additional information that may aid the Admissions Committee in evaluating your preparation and your aptitude for study in an accelerated program. It should be 1.5 spaced and limited to approximately 500 words.
4. A GMAT score report
5. A Resume
6. Two letters of reference are required from either faculty members and/or employers. The MSA program does not have a standard recommendation form. We ask that each recommender submit their letter on either University or Company letterhead. The recommendation letter should contain information about you that that the Admissions Committee would not otherwise know by reviewing the basic University application. The recommender’s insights could include information about your ability to succeed in a rigorous program such as this, your leadership ability, and possibly a character trait that would benefit you while attending the program. Citing examples that demonstrate the above would be helpful.
Mail the above documents to:

Finalists will be notified by early March. On-campus interviews for finalists will be held in mid to late March. Phone interviews will not be permitted. All applicants will be notified of their acceptance/denial in early April.
