Office: HGH #100
Since 2002, Mari Aranoff has been providing resources for students and faculty, assisting the Chair, answering phone inquiries, herding cats, procuring supplies, finding “impossible” information, and even cleaning up giant spills while working on the next semester’s schedule, making sure that all RTVF and TA employees are paid on time, running reports, and keeping many databases current. She is the liaison between RTVF, TA, and our Dean’s office, Academic Scheduling, Faculty Affairs, Facilities, Human Resources, and other campus entities. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Cal State Northridge has helped Mari to give support and encouragement to students in the graduation process. She has also stepped up to the plate to provide services outside her job description, including piano accompanying, voice over work, acting, photography, interior decorating, and painting, among others.
While living in LA, Mari managed and co-owned a recording studio, starting from scratch and with no previous experience, and helped to make it a success. She now lives in Mountain View with her soul mate and musical partner, Dean. She sidelines as a musician (flutist, singer, pianist), live and in the studio, and is an award-winning musician, songwriter, article writer, and photographer. She also enjoys power-walking, biking, sewing, gardening, writing, and puzzle-solving.
