Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD)
Objective: To promote responsible choices about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs through individual counseling and outreach events (presentations, programs, displays, referrals and distributing resources).
ATOD Counseling:
ATOD Counseling consists of a 60-minute confidential appointment on various ATOD topics. Please call (408) 924-6122 to make an appointment. You can also email Wellness & Health Promotion Coordinator, Jennifer Gacutan-Galang ( Jennifer.gacutan-galang@sjsu.edu ), if you have questions about ATOD topics.
- Alcohol and drug use on the body
- Effects and risks of club drugs
- Effects of alcohol and drug use during pregnancy
- Effects of alcohol and/or drug use on academic performance
- Health effects of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs

- Responsible Drinking/ Safe Partying
- Tobacco Cessation
- 3 sessions aimed at developing a plan to help students quit smoking by examining behavior and forming and testing a plan to change smoking habits
