March 13, 2020 Updates:
Due to the current suspension of in-person classes due to COVID-19 across our system, the Executive Order N-25-20 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom requiring adherence to social distancing guidelines, as well as the growing number of school districts that are closing and moving to alternative modes of instruction, leads us to issue a temporary, limited suspension of the requirement in EO 1077 regarding 45 hours of documented field experience in a K-12 classroom as an admission requirement. The temporary suspension will be reviewed at the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year. View the memo from the CSU Chancellor's office.
We are making a new scholarship available this year with the hope of growing in future years. The #ImpactSanJose Fellowship will provide $7,500 in scholarship support, mentorship during and after the program, a strong professional learning community of like-minded educators, and priority for residencies to candidates who are committed to becoming transformative educators for our region. We encourage you to APPLY HERE.
