The mission of the Women’s Resource Center is to support women and feminist students at San José State University. Through dynamic programming and educational outreach the Women’s Resource Center seeks to improve the campus climate for female or feminist-identified students and advocate for the respect and safety of all members of the campus community. In collaboration with other campus programs the Women’s Resource Center works to meet the needs of students to promote the successful completion of their educational goals.
We sponsor educational and community building programs. Our library has an extensive collection of books concerning race, class, gender, sexuality, ability and other identity topics as well as a collection of films created by women. Space can be used for club meetings, studying, and hanging out. The center networks with campus and San José area organizations in order to build a stronger community and support system for the students of San José State University.
We are located in Building BB, Room 101A. Building BB is the house located behind the Aquatic Center and near the Residence Halls. Please stop by to hang out, chat, read, eat lunch, or just check out the space!
