Ways to Get Involved
Student Groups
There are currently three student groups affiliated with the Women's Resource Center:
Women On Women's Issues (WOWI)
Women On Women’s Issues is a social discussion and activist group working on issues such as: Peace, Reproductive Justice, Immigration, Economic Justice, LGBT Rights, Student Rights, Body Image, Environmental Justice, and more. WOWI meets Tuesdays from 5-6PM in MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center (located inside the Student Union). WOWI is open to the female, transgender, male, and student parent communities.
P.R.I.D.E. (Preventing Rape In Dating Environments)
Preventing Rape In Dating Environments increases the awareness of sexual assault within the SJSU community in order to prevent rape, help people in need of resources, and assist in turning victims into survivors. Weekly meetings are held on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. in the Montalvo Room, Student Union.
National Organization for Women (NOW)
NOW is a student group at SJSU for feminists and activists of all genders working on issues such as: (1) Abortion Rights and Reproductive Justice, (2) Violence Against Women, (3) Constitutional Equality, (4) Promoting Diversity and Ending Racism, (5) LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex) Rights, (6) Economic Justice. This organization is affiliated with NOW (National Organization for Women).
INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence
INCITE! is a national activist organization of radical feminists of color advancing a movement to end violence against women of color and our communities through direct action, critical dialogue, and grassroots organizing.

Domestic Violence Awareness Week
Domestic Violence Awareness Week will be held October 12-16, 2009 in partnership with the Women's Resource Center, Wellness and Health Promotion, Men Creating Change, and SAVE.

Our production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues will be held March 4-6, 2010 (pending reservation approval).
