The College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE)  provides access to San José State University courses, degrees, and certificates to learners in the Silicon Valley and from around the world.

Our programs and courses are available to enrolled SJSU students as well as adult learners and professionals seeking to expand their learning or advance in their professional careers. Through our College or in partnership with six academic colleges, we offer a total of 23 professional degree programs at the undergraduate and Masters levels, 15 advanced certificates, and three credential programs.

In addition to our degree programs, we offer credit-earning courses to augment and complement regularly scheduled classes. Through Open University individuals from outside the university can enroll in university courses on a space-available basis and gain college credit. In winter intersession and summer intersession, we have a robust offering of courses, including General Education (GE) courses. These accelerated-format university courses are perfect for satisfying prerequisites, completing GE or major course requirements, or enabling a faster pace towards graduation.

Finally, we offer continuing education courses for professionals (such as teachers and project managers) to meet their industry’s continuing education requirements for maintaining credentials or career advancement.

We also reach out and engage with students, faculty, and institutions across the globe to facilitate opportunities in learning, teaching, and research at SJSU and establish career pathways to Silicon Valley companies. We provide programs to help international students with English skills (International Gateways), successfully adjust to life on our campus (International Student and Scholar Services), and much more.
