CPGE Research Assistant support

  • Purpose: To help faculty advance faculty research projects and to give students paid opportunities to engage in research activities that support faculty research. 
  • Eligibility: 
    • All tenured/ tenure-track faculty and full-time lecturers (including .8s) in CPGE are eligible for Research Assistant support. 
    • Recipients must submit a report due every semester documenting what they had the research assistant do, how they used the research assistants, and how that helped them advance their research/scholarly writing/grant-writing. 
    • [NOTE: Fall and Spring research assistants must maintain 6 units of coursework and Summer must maintain 3 units.]
  • Support Amount: Faculty will be awarded research assistant support for up to 10 hours per week each semester. 
  • Selection Criteria: Priority goes to probationary tenure-track faculty.

    • Selection Committee:  The Associate Dean for Academics and the Department Chairs comprise the selection committee, which will make recommendations to the Dean who will make the final determination for the award.
