Education and Training

The College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE) manages continuing education and professional development programs for San José State University (SJSU). Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professional development or degree credit units from SJSU without formal admission.

International Leadership Programs

Length of program:  4-12 weeks

  • No TOEFL requirement
  •  J-1 Visa
  • Scheduled year-round
  • Non-credit Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and completion certificates awarded
  • Undergraduate/graduate-based cohort classes with expert instructors
  • Programs for Government Management, University Administration , and others
  • Customized curriculum
  • Language and Culture Studies
  • Tower Card privileges
  • Campus apartments with kitchens (available Summer only)
  • Free time during weekends for activities outside of the Academic program

 Cohort Semester@Silicon Valley

Length of program:  4, 16 or 18 weeks

  • No TOEFL requirement
  •  F-1 Visa
  • 3 to 12 academic unit credits
  • 18-week Fall, 16-week Spring or 6-week Summer semester
  • Campus apartments with kitchens (available Summer  only)
  • Undergraduate/graduate-based credit program with expert instructors
  • Tower Card privileges
  • Optional 2-week non-credit Language and Culture Studies may include the American education system, American culture, and communication and classroom participation skills.
  • Free time during weekends for activities outside Academic program
