Magdalena Barrera
Magdalena L. Barrera is the senor vice provost for academic affaris and accreditation
liaison officer. Prior to joining the Office of the Provost, she was a professor and
chair in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies. Her research focuses on the
experiences of historically underserved students and faculty in higher education,
as well as representations of Mexican Americans in popular culture.
She holds a doctoral degree in modern thought and literature from Stanford University.
