Electrical Enginieering Symposium

The MS Engineering program, with a specialization in Smart Sustainable Energy Systems, is an accelerated degree designed for working professionals in the fast-growing sustainable energy sector. 

Graduates earn skills and knowledge that prepare them to step into positions like Energy Analyst, Energy Systems Test Engineer, Energy Systems Engineer, Energy Risk Manager, or Energy Program/Product Manager.

Classes are delivered year-round in fall, spring, and summer. The program is offered both in-person and online allowing students to enroll from anywhere in the country. Remote students will be required to attend at least one required in-person learning activity.

Program Features

  4. Flexible Hybrid Program: The program is offered both in-person and online and students can join from anywhere in the U.S. by attending lectures online and attending at least 1 required in-person session during the program.

Prospective students interested in the program are encouraged to complete a prequalification form so that a faculty advisor can review the student’s background and determine their suitability for the program.

Applicants are required to meet the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in math, physics, computer science, engineering, or a closely related field, equivalent to a four-year U.S. undergraduate baccalaureate degree, with demonstrated college-level courses in programming, data structures, algorithm design, three-semester sequence of calculus, linear algebra and statistics.
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Admission Requirements

  • An applicant must have a degree equivalent to a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree in engineering, science or technical undergraduate degree with coursework in programming, differential equations and basic circuits.

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. 

  • Conditional admissions might be granted for applicants with exceptional background with a GPA less than 3.0 but greater than 2.5.
  • Good academic standing at the last institution attended.
  • GRE not required
