Rosa Parks (1913-2005) The Public Service and Social Change Major offers a course of study that provides students with an interdisciplinary foundation relevant to work in the public sector. Graduates of this major are prepared to work in government and non-profit organizations. The curriculum focuses on issues related to working with a diverse population in public service organizations in Silicon Valley. The major includes a Social Science Core requirement that provides students with a critical review of social science theory and it’s application in a diverse society. The electives provide an in-depth focus on diversity and topics related to local government and politics.
