Enrollment Services provides all of the resources you need to enroll at San José State
University and reach your academic goals. Housed inside the Student Services Center, the staff helps current and incoming students
apply for admission, register for classes, pursue scholarships and loans, and visit
campus. Part of SJSU’s Student Affairs Division, Enrollment Services includes the Office of
Admissions and Outreach, Financial Aid and Scholarship Office and Office of the Registrar.
The Office of Admissions and Outreach determines whether students who apply at SJSU are admitted. The staff determines acceptance mainly on the students’ GPA and SAT/ACT scores. The Admissions office evaluates applications for freshmen, transfer and graduate students.
The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office informs students of the grants, scholarships and loans that are available to them to help pay for college. In addition to providing information and answering questions about federal and state grants and loans, the staff connects students with scholarship opportunities supported by both SJSU and private supporters of higher education.
The Office of the Registrar helps students register for courses, maintains student academic records, and coordinates the registration process. The Registrar's staff provides registration assistance, verification of enrollment, loan deferments and transcript services to students.
The Testing Office provides testing related services in support of the educational development and success of students. Through collaborating with campus faculty and the community, our programs focuses on fostering closer relationships by providing proctoring and test administration services and test scoring services.
