Sell Furniture/Equipment
- To sell and/or surrender furniture and/or equipment, complete the Property Survey Report form (pdf).
Buy Furniture/Equipment for Campus Departments
Furniture and equipment surrendered by campus departments are posted to an internal campus auction for 7 to 14 days.
- Register at Public Surplus (SJSU Employee Registration).
- Use registration code TORN 52 MILD 10 .
- Wait for verification email message that contains your password.
- Enter auction at Public Surplus (Internal SJSU Campus Auction).
- Browse and bid on items.
- There is no award notification. The first department to bid on an item will receive the item.
- ReUse Coordinator will contact department regarding delivery of item..
Buy Furniture/Equipment for Personal Use
Furniture and equipment not sold during an internal campus auction are then posted to a public auction for 2 weeks. SJSU employees are invited to purchase items for their personal use.
- Register at Public Surplus (SJSU Employee Registration).
- Establish your own user name and password.
- Enter auction at Public Surplus (Public Auction).
- Browse and bid on items.
- Receive award notification via email.
- Within 10 days, pay at Cashiering window #1 in the Student Services Center.
- Pickup your furniture/equipment at Distribution Services.
- You will be asked to show your receipt as proof of payment.
