San Jose State University participates in the California State University site licensing program for products from Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), a major supplier of geographic information systems. This licensing program provides San Jose State departments with access to industry-standard software for courses, research, and administration. ArcGIS is ESRI's primary desktop GIS package providing their full range of mapping and geographic analysis tools. The software runs on Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

Tools for delivering mapping solutions over the Internet through a Web browser.

ArcGIS Server

Tools for delivering GIS solutions over the Internet.

Map Objects

A library of components for developing custom GIS applications. Available for ActiveX and Java environments.

Business Analyst and BusinessMap Pro

A dedicated business mapping programs for managing and analyzing customer data and planning marketing programs.

ArcLogistic Route

A specialized application for managing the movement of assets, particularly transportation of equipment and materials.
