Getting Your Paycheck


San José State University employees appointed to regular and temporary appointments including faculty, staff and administrators are paid monthly.

Paychecks are distributed to each department contact between 9:00am and 11:00am each payday at Human Resources. Check with your supervisor to find out your department's contact.

Payday for student assistants and intermittent hourly employees is the 14th of each month. If the 14th falls on a Saturday, pay is available on Friday the 13th, and if the 14th falls on a Sunday, pay is available on Monday the 15th.

Special consultants are paid when proper documentation including invoices are submitted, approved and processed.
