Bio: Alejandra joined the CoSS SSC team in June of 2022. Before SJSU, Alejandra started her college career at California State University, Chico. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Education with a concentration is Plant and Soil Sciences. Alejandra’s original career path was to become a high school agriculture teacher to promote agricultural literacy. However, her career path changed after she gain work experience within student life, orientation programs, and university housing at Chico State. Instead of going through a credential program, Alejandra decided to earn her Master’s in Higher Education Leadership at the University of San Diego to prepare her for a career in higher education. At USD, she learned more about student identity development and mental health as it realtes to first-generation students. Alejandra’s career goal is to make a positive difference in students’ lives especially those who come from minoritized communities.
