Important Information: Major Advising Hold 

Major advising holds cannot be removed during drop-in advising.


If you have a major advising hold on your account, you must schedule an advising appointment with your assigned major advisor to have the hold removed.

Drop-In Availability & Guidelines

Drop-in advising is intended for quick advising questions and is limited to 15-minute sessions. Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students may discuss the following topics during drop-in advising:

  • University Policies
  • Course Enrollment and Academic Planning
  • General Education requirements
  • Policies & Procedures

Change of major advising is NOT available during drop-in advising. Students who wish to change their major must apply to change their major. To proceed, please review the change of major requirements based on the number of units you have completed, and follow the appropriate steps for advising and next actions.

Locations:

  • 0 to 59 units completed: Undergraduate Advising Hub (SSC Building)
  • 60 or more units completed: ESSC (ENGR 116)

Dates: February 2 - May 8, 2026

  • In Person
    • Tuesdays: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
    • Thursdays: 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
