The field of health education is rich with professional organizations representing a wide variety of settings, interests, and services to members. Our faculty are involved in the leadership and/or membership of several of the organizations below:

• Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE)
• Northern California Chapter of SOPHE (NC-SOPHE)
• American Public Health Association (APHA)
• California Public Health Association, North (CPHA-N)

International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE)

Several of these groups, including APHA and SOPHE, have longstanding commitments to students and new professionals. Student rates help make membership affordable.
