Due to the highly transmissible Omicron variant in San Jose, SJSU has decided to delay in-person instruction on the SJSU campus until Monday February 14, 2022. We expect thatclasseswill resume in-person to on-campus meetings on February 14, pending any other notifications. After the ATP program is back to in-person classes, F-1 students who would like to maintain their current Active SEVIS status will need to take their classes on the SJSU campus throughout their enrollment. IG will also be able to issue the Initial I-20 form for new F-1 students to join ATP.

If you are intending to study at International Gateways in Spring 2022, make sure you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You will need to submit proof of your COVID-19 vaccination record and/or request for a medical exemption.
- Report your vaccination status using the COVID-19 Vaccine Self-Certification form.
- Submit verification on the Student Health Center Patient Portal.

More Stringent COVID Testing Requirements Imposed
As part of his strategy to combat COVID-19, on December 2, 2021, President Biden announced more stringent testing requirements for international travelers to the United States. Beginning on December 6, all air passengers, regardless of vaccination status, must show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 24 hours before their travel to the United States.
