Welcome to International Gateways
Since 1975, we have helped thousands of students from over 60 countries who come to San Jose State University for academic, professional, or personal reasons. Whether you want to improve your English or take SJSU classes, we’re here to help you reach your goals. All of our faculty have advanced degrees and many years of experience.
The Academic and Test Preparation (ATP) program will hold full-time in-person classes on the SJSU campus in Spring 2022. This means that F-1 students who would like to maintain their current Active SEVIS status will need to take their classes on the SJSU campus throughout their enrollment. IG will also be able to issue the Initial I-20 form for new F-1 students to join ATP.
International Gateways follows CSU policy for vaccination requirements:

- Report your vaccination status using the COVID-19 Vaccine Self-Certification form.
- Submit verification on the Student Health Center Patient Portal.

Beginning on December 6, all air passengers, regardless of vaccination status, must show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 24 hours before their travel to the United States.
