Our sixth annual Bridging the Bay: SJSU New Black Spartan Reception in Downtown Oakland is on Saturday March 9, 2024 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. At this event admitted students will have the opportunity to meet other newly admitted Spartans from the Bay Area/Northern California. A special team of SJSU professionals will be present to welcome guests and answer questions regarding the next steps in the enrollment process and to highlight the wonderful opportunities that await new Spartans at SJSU. Programming will include info about:
- Resources for Black/African American students at SJSU
- Resources for Parents
- Campus Life and Community
- Current Student/Alumni panel
- Summer Orientation
- University Housing Options
- Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Major and Academic Advising
- Admitted Spartan Day 2024 - Saturday, April 13th

SESP Becoming a Spartan

5:30pm - 6:00pm (doors open, dinner and resource fair begins)
6:00pm - 7:30pm (main program)
Our seventh annual SESP Becoming a Spartan Reception is a FREE event for you and your family/guests.
At this event, you will have the opportunity to meet other newly admitted Spartans from the East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD). A special team of SJSU professionals will welcome you to the Spartan community and answer questions that you have regarding the next steps in the enrollment process. Programming will also include important information about:
- The Spartan East Side Promise Program
- ESUHSD Spartan Summer Program
- SESP Scholarship
- Resources for Parents
- Campus Life and Community
- Admitted Spartan Day 2024: Saturday April 13
- Assistance with Next Steps - Intent to Enrollment process

You can also engage with representatives from multiple departments during our Dinner Resource Fair starting at 5:30pm, with the main event programming beginning at 6:00pm. This is a great space for you to learn more about SJSU and meet and connect with our Spartan team.

A special team of SJSU professionals will welcome you to the Spartan community and answer questions that you have regarding the next steps in the enrollment process. This is a FREE event for you and your family/guests. Light appetizers and beverages, SJSU info packets, and Spartan swag will be provided.
Please join us for Seattle to the Bay: SJSU New Spartan Reception in Seattle, WA. At this event, you will have the opportunity to meet other new Spartans from the Seattle area and across Washington. A special team of SJSU professionals and students will welcome you to the Spartan community and answer questions that you have regarding the next steps in the enrollment process. Admitted Spartan Day

Congratulations on your provisional admission to San Jose State University for Fall 2024! We are excited to welcome you and your families to our Admitted Spartan Day (ASD).
This event is FREE and open only to newly admitted students and their guests to experience what life is like at SJSU. Engage in special topic workshops, academic open houses, and activities such as a campus tour and resource fair as you prepare to become a Spartan!
