Student Outreach and Recruitment (SOAR) offers prospective students and families numerous support services, programs and events with the goal of educating and informing future Spartans about the undergraduate admissions requirements and process to SJSU! Please note our office will be closed for the holidays from December 23, 2021 - January 2, 2022. We will return on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Prospective students can meet with one of our Pre-admissions Counselors virtually and in-person to discuss SJSU/CSU admissions requirements, seek assistance with the Cal State Apply online application or ask general questions about SJSU.
For virtual assistance, visit our Virtual Front Desk Mondays: 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Tuesdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm,1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Wednesdays:
Thursdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, and Fridays:1:00 pm - 4:30 pm for drop-in counseling and immediate assistance.
We are now offering in-person services Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm in our Student Services Center (SSC). Upon arrival, please join the queue by scanning the QR Code provided outside of our building entrance to receive drop-in assistance. Select the Student Outreach and Recruitment - In Person" option. We are now offering in-person campus tours for prospective students! Make sure to
reserve your spot for an on-campus or Live Virtual Campus Tour today. We also offer many other tour
options including a YouVisit Virtual Tour, Self-Guided Tours, and much more on our
website. We’re excited to engage with you, answer live questions and help you explore SJSU!

Are you a graduate or current student of the East Side Union High School District in San Jose? This program provides a pathway to admission to SJSU, and supports ESUHSD students and their families in their transition from high school to college.
