ATN operates four videoconference rooms in the Instructional Resource Center. Videoconferencing allows high quality audio/video interaction between two or more locations. The four rooms available for videoconferencing have capacities of 15 to 45 participants.

For California higher education locations, we use a video codec and the CENIC video over IP network. IP and ISDN connections are also available for connecting anywhere in the world.

HOW TO SCHEDULE A ROOM FOR VIDEO CONFERENCE IN ATN

NOTE: Due to the scheduling complexities involved, we ask for a two-week lead-time to setup a videoconference, especially if a non-CSU party is involved and there is a difference in the time zone.

To schedule a videoconference, call or visit the Academic Technology Network Office. We are located in the Instructional Resource Center, Room 310. Our phone number is 408-924-2636. You may also email your request to atn@sjsu.edu with the following information:

• In addition to your email address, please provide your contact information - preferably a phone number where we can immediately reach you.
• Title of the event.
• Date of the event.
• Time of the event.
• Number of participants at SJSU.
• Name of the person(s) we are connecting with, and their contact information (email, landline & cell).

As soon as your request via email has been received, ATN will contact you for more information if needed, or to confirm.
