How do I find my password to sign in to Next Steps?
The sign in to Next Steps is your SJSUOne/MySJSU sign in. You will use your nine-digit SJSU ID and the password you created when you activated your SJSUOne account. To activate your SJSUOne account or reset your password, please go here:
What is my pin to access the PDF version of my admit letter?
Your pin is the four-digit number corresponding to the month and day of your birth.
For example, if your birthday is December 8, then your pin would be 1208.
How will I know that my enrollment deposit went through?
Once your payment is submitted to our payment system, you will receive an email receipt directly from the payment system. The date and time stamp on that receipt must be prior to 11:59 pm on May 1 for a fall term and 11:59 pm on December 1 for a spring term.
Then, you will receive an email receipt from the firstname.lastname@example.org email account itemizing your activity on Next Steps including your orientation date.
If you do not receive that email within two business days, there may be a problem with your payment. You must contact us immediately or your application will be withdrawn. Forward the copy of your payment receipt to email@example.com and make sure it includes your SJSU ID.
You keep posting reminders to my MySJSU account to complete Next Steps. These are general reminders sent to all students, right?
No. We only send reminders to those students who have not completed the Next Steps process. If you are receiving reminders about completing Next Steps, then our records show that you have not completed all the steps. You should sign back into your Next Steps account and complete the remaining steps. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am required to live in housing. I completed the University Housing Services online application and submitted the application fee and initial deposit to University Housing Services. Who should I contact to confirm that I have met the freshmen housing requirement?
Applicants will receive a confirmation email from University Housing Services within
one week of application. This email will confirm that the application is complete,
or if additional steps need to be completed. If you have not received an email within
one week of completing all steps, please contact University Housing Services directly
at 408.795.5600 or by email at UHSemail@example.com.
If I am required to live on campus, does living in the SJSU International House meet that requirement?
Yes. You can meet the on-campus housing requirement by submitting a completed online Housing
application to the International House (see sjsu.edu/ihouse for application procedure).
