Frank Sumares, pianist, composer, arranger, educator, and longtime SJW family member, passed away on March 28, at the age of 73. Former Vice Provost Paul Brown, who was known to greet his colleagues with nothing less than a smile, died Monday, July 29, he was 76. Brown loved SJSU, which drove his knowledge for the campus and his commitment to the staff.
Lila Gonzalez-Garfinkel, left us peacefully on Sunday, June 16th, 2013 in Aptos, California. Even at 84 years of age, Lila left us far too soon with many flowers and plants to nurture, grandchildren and great grandchildren to know and hold, a cook book and poetry to be written. [read more]
