Budgeting for Staff Benefits

 

The Budget Office is often asked to provide a budgeted staff benefit rate that can be used in conjunction with financial planning and/or in salary reimbursement situations. There is no single staff benefit rate that is applicable to all or even to a majority of cases due to the fact that individual employee benefit costs are driven by a person’s health and dental coverage elections and retirement plan coverage.
