Student Assistants in the following units/departments must undergo a background check
before they may begin work: Athletics, Finance, Human Resources, ITS, and Student
Affairs. Depending on a student’s work in another area, they may be required to undergo

Workforce Planning will request the background check and the student will complete the process online. The vendor will complete the criminal records check and return the results to Workforce Planning. If there are no concerns, Workforce Planning will notify the department and forward the paperwork to Employee Services for processing. If there are concerns, your analyst will discuss next steps with you.
