Current Research Activities

Main research question: What are the cultural and social consequences of new technologies? Creative activities at the moment include completing a new book on virtual warfare, which explores the ways in which US military and intelligence agencies are harnessing algorithmic techniques and big data in order to develop autonomous weapons systems, predictive modeling programs, and computational counterinsurgency initiatives.
