The Department of Audiology is pleased to be a part of the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) and will be admitting its first cohort for the Doctor of Audiology program in Fall 2020.
Doctors of Audiology diagnose, treat, and prevent hearing and balance disorders. California is facing a severe shortage of audiologists and the demand for new professionals continues to rise as the population is aging.
SJSU’s program is one of a handful of programs in California and is the only program located in the Silicon Valley. We are the founding campus of the 23 campus California State University (CSU) system.
SJSU’s student population is one of the most ethnically diverse in the nation. In the heart of Silicon Valley and one of the 200 top research universities in the nation, SJSU offers an exceptionally rewarding learning environment for students.
Graduates of our program will be ethical, culturally sensitive, committed to evidence-based practices, prepared to assume leadership roles, and experienced in an interprofessional team approach to patient care among infants, toddlers, children, adults, and elders.
