Anusha Yellamsetty

Assistant Professor
Director, Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience Lab

Dr. Anusha Yellamsetty is a founding faculty member of the San José State University Doctor of Audiology program. Her teaching, clinical expertise, and research focus on the relationship between scientific evidence, emerging hearing technologies, and patient-centered audiology care.
Her translational research examines how hearing technologies can improve access, effectiveness, usability, and clinical outcomes. Her work includes clinical validation of hearing screening applications, self-fitting and over-the-counter hearing aids, digital hearing health tools, and hearing-device technologies. She also studies tinnitus, including its functional and psychological effects and its relationship to emerging health concerns.
Dr. Yellamsetty integrates research with doctoral education through student mentorship, clinical measurement, auditory neuroscience, evidence-based practice, and capstone research. Her work supports the development of audiologists who can evaluate technology critically and provide scientifically informed care to diverse communities.
