Your Home Away from Home

At MOSAIC, our goal is to provide a space that students feel a sense of home and belongingness. Our students, staff, and faculty fellows all work hard to provide a space where folks feel like they can chat about anything and engage in dialogues about the world around them.

Located on level one of the Compean Diaz Student Union (right across from the university bookstore), MOSAIC is open Monday-Thursday 9:00am-6:00pm and Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. You will find many students, studying, hanging out, meditating/praying, and conversing about issues that affect our society in MOSAIC.


Front Desk 

When you walk in, please scan or input your Tower ID. You can find out what is happening in MOSAIC by chatting with one of our friendly student assistants.

MOSAIC Open Lounge

Find a comfy seat on a couch or pick a table to study, eat lunch or play a game! The lounge is open to all of our SJSU students and community.


Reserving the MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center

MOSAIC offers the front lounge area with flexible setup, which can accommodate up to 60 people. This space is typically used for large group/organization meetings, presentations, screenings, roundtable discussions, etc.

Our mini conference room, which can accommodate a group of up to 8 people, can also be reserved.

Please follow the following steps to host an event or reserve a room:

  1. Fill out this online reservation form.
  2. If you'd like MOSAIC to co-sponsor your event, please complete the Co-Sponsorship Request Form.
  3. Turn in both forms to a MOSAIC staff member at least one week prior to the event. All events should be congruent with MOSAIC's mission. You may also come to fill out the forms in person.
