Media Facilities

Media Services provides in-house facilities for viewing and editing visual/audio media, as well as a faculty-reservable Computer Learning Lab featuring 26 dual-boot (Windows/Mac) computer stations.

VIDEO AND FILM VIEWING FACILITIES

Media Services provides facilities for viewing DVDs, VHS tapes, 16mm films, and slides. There are four stations available in Media Services for viewing non-circulating videos. Non-circulating videotapes also may be scheduled for in-class viewing through Video Services at extension 4-2867. Inquire at the Media Services Counter to view a closed captioned video.

DIGITAL VIDEO EDITING ROOMS

Editing room

Rooms are equipped with a Mac G5 with Final Cut Pro and iMovie. These rooms may be reserved by faculty and students for digital video editing for three hours per day. Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are accomodated on a space-available basis. 

Installed software:

VIDEO DUPLICATION

Faculty and students may copy non-copyrighted videotapes, audiotapes and DVD's. Reservations are recommended for video duplication. Other available formats for copying in Editing Rooms are;

  • VHS to DVD
  • Mini DV to DVD
  • DVD duplication

VIEWING ATN CLASS VIDEOS

Academic Technology Network classes are available for viewing at Media Services. The videos are available for the duration of the class (usually one semester).

Students can view these DVDs in the building only, by presenting their student ID at the Media Services counter.

VIEWING VIDEO SERVICES MEDIA

Video tapes and DVD's offered by Video Services can be borrowed or streamed into our facilities during the following hours:

Spring/Fall hours:

    • Mon - Thurs: 8am - 9pm
    • Fri: 8am - 3:30pm

Summer/Winter hours:

    • Mon - Thurs: 8am - 4:30pm
    • Fri: 8am - 3:30pm
