UNIX account FAQs:

How do I apply for a UNIX Account?

UNIX accounts are no longer available for e-mail. For special needs please come to the SJSU Help Desk Clark Hall room 102, on the first floor. UNIX is a system that is being phased out. It is very rare to create new UNIX accounts.

How do I change the password for my UNIX Account?

Follow these instructions for accomplishing this task. If you forgot your original password or your password does not work, please do one of the following:

Why can't I get my Username & Password by calling the SJSU Help Desk?

It is against our University's System Security policy to give username and/or password information for e-mail through telephone, email, and/or fax. We are not allowed to do it.

The password given to me is incorrect. What do I do?
