Data Warehouse on Windows

Student Administration Data Warehouse
Via BRIO


Pre-requisites:
BRIO installer on CD
Network access
Oracle Discoverer


Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive

Select the Install Client Software button.

When prompted for the Install Key?enter 6FNA9 ? Next

Accept the License Agreement.

You can accept the defaults by clicking the Next button on the next three prompts.

Click the Next button on the OLEDB prompt.

Click the Finish Button.

Click the Finish Button.

The first time you start Brio it will perform some further initialization tasks.

Start Brio from the Start\Programs\Brio\Brio Intelligence Client\Brio Intelligence Upgrade

You will be prompted for a Key. Enter 601434412-300447147

When Brio opens a “Create a New Document” window select the top “ A New Database Connection File”
Radio button and click on OK

Select SQL *Net for WindowsNT for the connection software.
Select Oracle 8/9 for the type of database.
Check the box at Show advanced options
Click on the Next button.

Enter the User Name and Password assigned
Enter cmssadw1 for the Host
Click on the Next button

Check the Define Button next to Owner Name
Make sure the top line says Equal and enter RDSPRD in the second line and click on the OK button

Click on the Next button for the remaining 3 prompts.

Click the Finish button
Click Yes on the Save OCE prompt
Change “Default” to “Sadw” then click the Save button

This completes the installation and setup and should log you into the SADW data warehouse.
