Goal of an assessment

SJSU IAC provides free industrial assessment to help small/medium-sized US manufacturers save energy, improve productivity, and reduce waste. We also provide cost saving estimations associated with the identified energy or waste saving opportunities.

Eligibility

The general eligibility requirements are: 

1. Location within ~150 miles of San José, CA
2. Facility type
   1. Manufacturing: SIC 20-39 / NAICS 31-33
   2. Wastewater treatment: NAICS 22
3. Annual energy bills: $100k-$3.5M
4. Annual sales under $100M
5. Fewer than 500 employees per site
6. No in-house energy professional on staff

IAC Assessment Information

SJSU IAC is funded by the US Department of Energy to help small/medium-sized US manufacturers save energy, improve productivity, and reduce waste by providing on-site technical assessments conducted by a team of SJSU faculty and students at no cost to the client.

After the site visit, the IAC team will provide a comprehensive report with specific details on all opportunities identified during the assessment to reduce energy costs, taking into account applicable government and utility rebates and incentive programs.
