College Assessment Facilitators, Department Chairs/School Directors, and Assessment Coordinators may request user access for programs within their college. Submit the Nuventive Access Google Form.

- What interface updates are planned for Winter 2023 in Nuventive?

We collected from faculty nuventive users feedback from 2020-2022, and worked with Nuventive to make some improvements. We are implementing simplified annual assessment reports interface. After a system downtime from December 15, 2022 - January 15, 2023, several updates to the interface will be launched to simplify the annual assessment report submission experience.

Yes, you will be able to log in per usual. You will not be able to edit or enter any new data or documents until January 15, 2023.

- How do I login to Nuventive?

Once your requested Nuventive account is approved, you can use your SJSU single sign-on user name and password to log into Nuventive. Compatible browsers to access Nuventive include Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge, or Safari (do not use Internet Explorer).

- What is the implementation timeline at SJSU for Nuventive?

Phase 1.0 (2019-2022)
In Fall 2019, Nuventive was introduced widely at SJSU. The Annual Assessment Report Template, and PLOs from the majority of programs were loaded into Nuventive.
In Spring 2020, assessment coordinators submitted their first annual reports in Nuventive.
Phase 1.5 (Spring 2023)
After a system downtime from December 15, 2022 - January 15, 2023, several updates to the interface will be launched to simplify the annual assessment report submission experience.
Phase 2.0 Future Plans (2023-)
We are exploring opportunities simplify, reduce duplication, and focus on analysis over data collection when implementing the following areas into Nuventive in the next couple of years.- Program Plan Self-Study
- External Reviewer, Program Planning Committee, and Dean Feedback on Self-Study
- General Education Assessment
- Co-Curricular Assessment (Student Affairs Division)

- Why is SJSU using Nuventive for our assessment software?

Nuventive will enable programs to update and manage all phases of the program assessment process with ease; access archived program assessment reports online; quick access to assessment plans and reports; maintain and share relevant assessment info such as rubrics, program learning outcomes, and assessment methods; connect assessment results to program planning; develop and disseminate reports to stakeholders with ease; and, submit annual assessment reports online anytime and anywhere.
Previously, all of these functions were completed via email and by posting documents and resources to different websites different sjsu.edu webpages.
