International Gateways Fall 2025 Testimonials
All the professors I had the honor to meet were very supporting and decisive in finding my path in life. I am more than grateful for this amazing experience and could not have wished for better advising than the SAS program offered.

I didn't know what to expect, orientation was so much fun and it gave me the opportunity to be surrounded with other international students and different countries which made me more comfortable. Presentations were really helpful to fully understand safety, plagiarism and course registration. During orientation, we were introduced to the Library and this is how I found out about the Sound Studio which is my love and passion.

I am in VSA (Vietnamese Student Association), VSA has many students and events that are based on Vietnamese culture. For me, VSA is an opportunity to learn about the culture, interact with local students, and improve my English. I enjoy attending VSA every week because they are very energetic, funny, and kind people.

All the people I have met on and around campus are easy to talk to and helpful. Also, the diversity in the classes is something I really like because back home in Denmark, I would never get the chance to work in a group with people from around the world. Besides the school, there are so many beautiful places and cities in California not far away from SJSU which have been some unforgettable experiences for me.

Participating in the Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge (SVIC) was one of the highlights of my semester. I presented my telehealth project, Dawini, which aims to improve healthcare access in underserved regions. It was empowering to share an idea I truly believe in and see others value it. The feedback I received was both motivating and constructive.
