SJSU is experiencing strong enrollment growth while maintaining high levels of student retention across freshmen, transfer and graduate populations.

Retention patterns show particularly strong longer-term persistence among transfer and graduate students, while first-time freshmen experience greater attrition after the first year.

Graduation outcomes demonstrate substantial continued degree completion over time, especially as students move beyond the earliest graduation milestone.

Together, the metrics point to a strong foundation in attracting and retaining students, with continued opportunity to strengthen persistence and timely completion.
