The definitions in this document are from the California Penal Code and reflect California state law. These definitions may be applicable in a criminal process. The university's policy definitions of sexual misconduct /sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking are contained in the CSU Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation (see above) and apply to the University administrative process.
