Lurie College Financial Aid
Each spring semester, the Lurie College of Education awards scholarships to many of its undergraduate, graduate, credential, and doctoral students based on academics, community involvement and their dedication to education - visit the Lurie College Scholarships webpage for more information.
CDS Financial Aid
The Department is currently supported by three federal personnel preparation grants that provide CDS students with small group specialized instruction and clinical experiences, tuition remission, conference travel, and book allowances.
- Project AACES focuses on training SJSU students to provide services in special populations, persons who use augmentative and alternative communication.
- Project Tapestry aims to develop SJSU students in culturally competent assessment and intervention activities to meet the needs of multicultural populations.
- Project EPICS, is a partnership between SJSU and the University of Guam to train residents of the Pacific Islands in speech-language pathology.
Students selected to be on Project AACES and Project Tapestry attend workshops that provide additional knowledge and skills in the focus areas of the grants. The workshop will be updated as dates are confirmed.
- PRAXIS Preparation, Dates TBA
These workshops are open to all students in CDS as well as to SLPs practicing in the community. Clinicians can receive CEUs for attending and participating in these workshops.
