Intern Program Requirements

In order to participate in our Special Education Intern program, students must:

Candidates must spend at least two semesters in the Intern Credential program. Transfers to the Intern program will not be accpeted in the final semster of a candidate's program.

Indicate Your Interest in the Intern Program

To indicate your interest, submit a professional letter requesting to be an intern to Dr. Lisa Simpson and include a copy of your unofficial transcripts. These documents may be emailed to Dr. Simpson at, hand-delivered to the Special Education Department office in Sweeney Hall (SH) 204, or mailed to the following address for review:

Apply for the Intern Program

Print and then complete each of the documents below. Submit the entire packet of completed forms to the Department of Special Education, located in Sweeney Hall (SH) 204. Be sure to read all forms carefully and submit the required documentation with each form.

Once the completed  application is reviewed and approved, you will be provided with an Intern Memo to take to our Credential Services Office to apply for the Intern Credential.
