Instruction Mode

The class schedule identifies the mode of instruction as in-person, hybrid, or fully online (defined below). Review the course notes for more specific information.

In-Person

Course is taught on campus for all meetings. Class is scheduled as a single section with one meeting pattern. May require supplemental course information viewed through the web requiring Internet access. This can include viewing of course materials, grades, group meetings, posting of projects, etc.

Hybrid

Class is offered online with:

  • asynchronous instruction (no designated day/time meetings) with occasional on-campus meetings for events and/or exams;
  • synchronous instruction (designated day/time meetings) with occasional on-campus meetings for events and/or exams;
  • two meeting patterns: one asynchronous instruction (no designated day/time meeting pattern) and one synchronous instruction (designated day/time meetings). Both meeting patterns have occasional on-campus meetings;
  • two meeting patterns: one in person (a designated day/time on-campus location) and one asynchronous instruction (no designated day/time meeting pattern);
  • two meeting patterns: one in person (a designated day/time on-campus location) and one synchronous instruction (designated day/time meetings). Both meeting patterns have occasional on-campus meetings.

Fully Online

Class is offered completely online with:

  • asynchronous instruction (no designated day/time meetings);
  • synchronous instruction (designated day/time meetings);
  • two meeting patterns: one asynchronous instruction (no designated day/time meeting pattern) and one synchronous instruction (designated day/time meetings).
