Apply to Biology

Students are encouraged to attend a change of major workshop and/or request an informational packet each academic year due to potential changes to department specific application requirements between application periods.

  • Biology Change of Major Informational Packet (recommended)
    • Request to receive current information on the criteria, process, and deadlines for applying to a major in Biology.

    • Students will receive a Biology Change of Major Informational Packet in 3-5 business days.

  • Biology Virtual Change of Major Workshop (recommended)
    • Register to attend a Biology Virtual Change of Major Workshop to receive detailed information on the criteria, process, and deadlines for applying to a major in Biology.
    • It is recommended for students to request a Biology Change of Major Informational Packet prior to registering for a Biology Virtual Change of Major Workshop.
    • Virtual Change of Major Advising is available to students to register and attend a Biology Change of Major Workshop in Spring 2023.
    • Spring 2023 Biology (New) Change of Major Workshops Dates & Times:
      Biology (New) Change of Major Workshops are for Non-Biology students wishing to apply to a in Biology.

Apply to Biology

To apply to a major within the Biology Department, evaluate your eligibility based on current admission criteria. When ready to apply, request a Change of Major Application. 

Request a Change of Major Application and submit a College of Science Change of Major Application by the application deadline: May 1st (Fall 2023).

Requesting a Change of Major Application does not automatically result in admittance to the major.
