Office Update
Effective July 1, 2026, the functions and personnel of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion now serve as the Equity, Learning and Belonging department of the division of People and Culture. This new department, in tandem with functions and personnel from the former University Personal department of Organizational Development and Enrichment Programs, provides a holistic and comprehensive culture of community and care for all SJSU employees and students.
Equity, Learning and Belonging (ELB) serves as a hub for empowering employees at San José State University. As a vital part of the People and Culture, ELB is dedicated to creating a holistic employee experience by building and maintaining supportive working and learning environments at SJSU. Through our core areas, ELB seeks to foster a workplace where every individual can belong, succeed and contribute to our campus culture.
