From Ideas to Impact: AI for Sustainability, December 2, 2025
Centered on the theme “AI for Sustainability”, the event showcased the students' interdisciplinary work addressing real-world challenges from improving workplace safety and equitable education to promoting accessible health and clean environments over three semesters.
Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN) Summit, November 7 and 8, 2026
The PIT-UN Summit is the marquee event for public interest technologists from across academia, government, civil society, and industry. HonorsX students were invited to join the two-day summit at SJSU in Fall 2024.
Visit to the Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping Facility (AMPF), October 2, 2025
HonorsX Peer Mentor, Grayson Lam, invited the HonorsX students to visit the Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping Facility at Stanford University. Roger Wise, Director, AMPF, demonstrated cutting-edge 3D printing models and prototypes during the visit.
SustAInable Futures, May 7, 2025
SustAInable Futures showcased an exciting culmination of interdisciplinary projects that blend artificial intelligence, sustainability, and creative problem-solving. Our students have been working hard to develop solutions that address real-world challenges through a unique curriculum that fosters innovation and collaboration.
36th Annual Bioneers Conference, March 37 - 29, 2025
The HonorsX students are once again invited back to the 36th Annual Bioneers Conference by the Bioneers President, Teo Grossman. The 3-day conference gave the HonorsX students the opportunity to attend film screenings, art gallery and performances, participate in interactive programs, and network with many visionary movement leaders, activists, and professionals to explore innovative, nature-inspired solutions for today’s pressing environmental and social challenges.

SustainAI 2024 showcased SJSU HonorsX students' proposals for using AI to foster sustainability initiatives in the Bay Area to help help ensure safe working conditions, equitable education, accessible health, clean environments, and more!
HonorsX Bootcamp, September 6 - 8, 2024
Presented by HonorsX in a three-day weekend event, new students were introduced to the core of the interdisciplinary program and all it has to offer, including meeting the program co-founders, industry mentors, peer mentors, and campus partners. The bootcamp consisted a variety of activities hosted by the HonorsX instructors and campus partners, giving students the opportunity to network with one another in addition to meeting students from the previous cohorts who are currently serving as the HonorsX Peer Mentors.
