Student Academic Success Specialist

Chris earned both a B.S. in Biological Science and a Single Subject Teaching Credential from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He then taught Biology and Forensic Science for several years in east San Jose before moving to a role as TRiO Educational Talent Search Academic Coordinator working to help students gain access to higher education. Chris prioritizes meeting students where they are and helping them discover their goals and passion. He is passionate about helping each student find their own unique educational pathway and works to reduce barriers students face.

Chris is also a runner, and has coached cross country throughout his professional career. He enjoys hiking and travelling to new places both in and out of the US. After work, he can be found spending time with his family and two kittens.
